The Board & Management are very excited to advise works will commence shortly in our bistro where we are updating the toilets, servery and front of house cooking line. This upgrade will also include new furnishings, carpets and paint. This “Soft” renovation will provide a new updated bistro and allow the Club time to plan for the proposed “Master” plan renovations which will include a full revamp of the bistro, kitchen and creation of the new alfresco dining deck and kid’s play precinct. The Club is in the final stages of works before lodging a Development Application with Tweed Shire Council as part of our 5 Year Strategic plan. A members’ meeting was held in late April where we unveiled the plans and, once finalized, we will have them on display.

In the first stage of the “Soft” renovations, the bistro toilets will be closed for approximately two (2) weeks with alternative options being put in place. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause but we believe the end results will be worth it. These works will commence from Tuesday 15 May and signage will be posted in the bistro to provide toilet options and information during the works. The current toilets have not been touched since the mid 90’s and are long overdue for a refurbishment.

Stage two (2) will commence from Monday 18 June and is hoped to be completed by Friday 6 July. During this time the bistro and coffee shop will be closed with alternative service available in our Waves function room with a limited menu. There will also be some interruptions in our foyer as we lift up the floor tiles and prepare the floor for carpet. Again, signage will be displayed throughout the Club to advise members and guests the arrangements during these works, and again we apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause.

Following the recent closure of the caravan park, the Board have identified the need to improve the bistro to create a more modern facility in line with modern trends and we strongly believe the end result will provide a fresh new offering for all members, guests and families to enjoy.
